Mei: Kanemitsu Tsukuru Kore.
Sugata: Shinogi-zukuri, tori-zori, iori-mune.
Overall length: 31.61 inches (803.70 mm)
Nagasa: 24.96 inches (634.00 mm) long.
Nakago: Ubu, 6.68 inches (169.70 mm), ha agari kiri-jiri, one mekugi-ana. The yasurime are sijikai.
Kissaki: Chu-kissaki, 1.36 inches (34.50 mm). Yakizume boshi. It's not clear, but there may be some hakikake.
Moto-haba: 1.19 inches (30.10 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.30 inches (7.70 mm). Saki-haba: 0.77 inches (19.50 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.26 inches (6.60 mm).
Sori: 0.61 inches (15.50 mm)
Hamon: Notare-suguha.
Hada: Itame
Blade condition: Good. Some minor rusting down near hamachi, but nothing that a polish wouldn't deal with. No fatal flaws.
Mounts:
Type 98 shingunto 'informal' koshirae. The saya is missing its leather combat cover and has been bound with electrical tape where the original rice glue failed.
Comments:
This sword and its mountings have remained pretty much untouched since WW2. It would make a very good iai sword; the saya could be easily converted. Alternatively, it could easily be restored. It is in need of a polish and restoration. The price has been reduced to reflect this.
