Nagasa: 26.1 inches (663 mm).
Nakago: 8.25 inches (209.55 mm), ubu, two mekugi-ana, ha agari kurijiri, takanoha yasurime.
Kissaki: Chu-kissaki, o-maru boshi.
Moto-haba: 1.01 inches (25.6 mm). Saki-haba: 0.74 inches (18.90 mm). Moto-gasane: 0.26 inches (6.60 mm). Saki-gasane: 0.19 inches (4.90 mm).
Sori: 0.6 inches (15.24 mm).
Hamon: Gunome.
Hada: Difficult to see, but looks like a very fine masame.
Blade condition: In fine polish, minor surface scratches.
Mounts:
In shirasaya. Copper falling rain habaki.
Comments:
Kunitsugu, born in 1892, was a Rikugun Jumei Tosho swordsmith. This sword has a star stamp that someone has in the past, for some reason, tried to hammer out. The remains of the star stamp are illustrated in a macro photograph below.
