Professionally made stand for doing tsukamaki. This is apparently the first ever commercial tsukamaki-dai made anywhere, including Japan.

The front rest, beam and socket are made of sapele, which is much harder than African or American mahogany, and highly resistant to denting. The stand, which has a non-slip base, can either be clamped to a table top using the enclosed clamps, or permanently secured to a work surface using the supplied coach bolts. Supplied with sashigane.

Each tsukamaki-dai is made to order, and finished by hand. They are not, at present, off the shelf items. An order cannot be cancelled once work has started.
